21st Century Language Learning

 Hello my dear reader! πŸ’«

When I think of 21st century education, the first thing that comes to my mind is learning with technology. When people research things they don't know, they use technological devices-phones, computers…- rather than libraries or books. Even people who say I don't understand technology or phone are actually using technology in some way. While only some of us know how to use technology effectively, some of us do not. In fact, we can understand from today's children that the learning language of the 21st century is technology. When we look at young children, we can say that they are born with the ability to use technology. Even before anyone teaches them how to use the phone or tablet, they start tampering with the phone and discovering it themselves. πŸ“±πŸ’»

In language acquisition, I think the reason why technology is so important is that people want to learn the language from native speakers. It may not be possible for everyone to meet live, face-to-face with native speakers of that language. However, anyone with technology can benefit from this feature through some applications. We can use technology not only to communicate with native speakers, but also to make language learning more fun and easier. As an ELT candidate, I think that an English language lesson combined with technology would be more beneficial. As I mentioned, nowadays children are born and raised open to the use of technology. When English is explained in a way that children understand, it becomes easier to acquire the language. Thanks to technology, the lesson ceases to be monotonous and becomes more entertaining, and the interest of those who learn language increases.
