Preparing Digital Worksheet!

  It has been a long time since we talked. I hope you are well and ready for what I will share with you this semester. This semester will be about being a person who teaches the language rather than being a language student. This means that I will prepare my activities and tasks as an English teacher from now on. πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽˆπŸŒΈ

   Our first duty is to prepare a technology-based worksheet for students that we can use in the classroom. We did this assignment as a group with my friends and chose the topics 'Must and Have to' for high school preparatory class students. You can see the digital worksheet example we made below. πŸ’»πŸ“Œ

   

   

     

   We also learned corpus use in the Current Issues in Teaching lesson. We learned how to use applications such as CoCa and BNC. That's why we wanted our students to use this information while preparing our worksheet. These applications include more than one billion words of data from various sources. These data are collected from magazines, conversations, web pages...You can filter what you want and get access to the target vocabulary. πŸ‘€However we aim is to make the corpus a tool, not a goal for students. The target to be taught to students is not to use the corpus programs but to teach the usage of the target words.      When it comes to problems that may occur in a classroom environment, technology use for everyone can be difficult. Because, even if our schools have access to the internet, it can be challenging to provide technological devices for every student. However as teachers, we must do our best to improve these conditions. πŸ‘¨πŸ‘©πŸ’«Thus, we started our new semester in this way. I hope you had fun and learned while reading. Welcome my dear reader last time for this semester. πŸ™ŒπŸ’«This blog post will be about what we learned and what projects we have done together so far.  ☑    First of all, Current Issues in Teaching lesson taught me a lot. I saw how we can make course presentations, homework assignments, and projects more effectively, in accordance with the new technology and in a creative way. I observed that lessons can be taught better with technology rather than teaching them with classical methods. πŸ”ŽπŸ’­ It was very beneficial to both do the projects of this course and use it with my students. I was excited that learning and teaching were more efficient and that technology and applications were doing things we would never have thought of.       However, every beauty has its' flaw. πŸ˜‰ I agree that it is very fun and nice to use, but it is quite difficult to learn how to use technology and its applications. There are countless applications, and ...
